Water you waiting for? Just jump in

W is for Water – W – W – Water
I would have expected to show you a picture of the mini – ions playing in the pool, but the summer was so mild that we barely got the pool out.

Instead, this is a little peak into how we passed many a summer day. We would go to an activity in the morning  (frequently meeting friends at a park). Mini-ion #2 would fall asleep in the car on the way home. Because the days were so cool and breezy,  I’d roll down all the windows and Mini-ion #1 and I would hang out on the front porch while she slept.  This gave Mini-ion #1 a chance for some quiet play and it frequently involved water in this bin.

I don’t know what it is about children and water, but it seems to be endlessly fascinating to them. One day that spiraled out of control was brought back by giving the mini-ions dishes to wash. I think playing in water is the quick cure to family sanity (as long as you don’t mind the mess afterwards ).

The next day that’s spiraling out of control, trying filling the bathroom sink with some water, get a towel and some cars and watch the concentration happen!

Oh, yes…so many days I sent our little ones to the back yard with dish tubs full of sudsy water to wash their play dishes or give their baby dolls a bath. That always made everyone happy!
