“Once upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were–Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter.”
– Beatrix Potter, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, opening words

I will wrap up the series on the very fun and whimsical Peter Rabbit baby shower that we held for my sister-in-law.

In addition to the carrot centerpieces, the bunny cookie favors, the children’s book banner and the carrot utensils, there were some other elements we enjoyed and I may not have remembered to photograph.

At the bottom of the below picture, you can see how we served our drinks, which was in the mini-ions radio flyer wagon, filled with ice.  Try not to look at the clothes pins holding the table cloth down from the wind, but instead, look at the vegetable trays.  We cut the tops off of colorful bell peppers and filled them spinach dip, guacamole and hummus as a ready made dip serving bowl.

Our main food was catered by a local mac and cheese restaurant.  Yes, that sounds weird, but we had six different types of mac and cheese, including a gluten free one and chicken parmesan.  Sounds less weird and more delicious, right?

I had a large hard back copy of The Tales of Peter Rabbit for everyone to sign as a keepsake momento for the baby.  I also passed around a small Peter Rabbit journal for everyone to give words of encouragement to my sister-in-law which I had planned to give her after the baby was born, in the dark days of no sleep and lots of diapers.  However, it got scooped up with the gifts, so hopefully she can make use of it during any dark days while waiting for the baby.

There was so much laughter, love and joy at this baby shower; this baby is sure to grow up surrounded by love!
